Our new line of organic products came to be from a request for an organic nipple cream. As an avid organic gardener and lover of all things organic, I thought this would be the perfect start for a new organic line of products. Although all of our products contain many organic ingredients, these would be the first formulated with high quality, nourishing, 100% organic ingredients, that are gentle enough for the entire family. The research started, to first identify and source quality, organic ingredients that would provide protection, soothe irritation and nourish the skin. Second, and most importantly, to formulate a product with ingredients that would be safe for baby, inside and out, with no need for mom to wash it off before nursing. Our Organic Cheek and Nipple Cream was born. Then came Healthy Family Crease Cream, Healthy Family Butter Cream, and most recently Organic Baby Oil. All organic and baby safe.
We started by infusing organic sunflower oil with organic calendula flowers, known to promote fast healing of minor wounds and decrease inflammation and swelling. Sunflower oil, high in Vitamin E, is highly absorbent, has emollient properties that help retain moisture, decrease inflammation and enhances development of new skin cells. Cocoa butter and olive oil, also rich in antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties, heal and soothe sensitive skin, restores damaged skin cells and are used to treat scars, stretch marks skin irritation and rashes. Arrowroot powder, an allergen free antibacterial, aids in hydration and assists in the absorption of oils deep into the skin layers. Lavender essential oil not only soothes the skin but can soothe and calm the little one too. When applied, it melts into the skin and absorbs quickly.
